Privacy Statement

 This Statement of Privacy (this “Statement”) governs the manner in which Royal Traveler, Inc. (“Royal Traveler”, the “Company”, “We” or “Us”) collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from customers and others who interact with the Company’s products, software, services and web sites (collectively referred to as “Services”), excluding any services provided to you by the Company under a separate agreement.  This Statement applies to the use of royaltraveler.com and all Services offered by the Company, unless otherwise noted. This Statement does not apply to the Company’s or its affiliates’ offline privacy practices. Certain aspects of your private information, credit card payment processing, are governed also by the User Agreement, which is hereby incorporated in its entirety by reference.

 

What information do we collect?

We collect personal information from you when you establish a customer account, request information, share information, book reservations or tickets, purchase our products or otherwise engage our services, receive electronic notices or other similar communications and activities.  When performing any of these actions, you may be asked to enter your name, e-mail address, phone number, home address, personal preferences, credit card and billing information.

We collect personal information from you when using the Services, such as when you choose to share information with others, including inviting contacts and sending feedback.

We collect information when you interact with our customer service to accurately categorize and respond to customer inquiries and investigate breaches of the User AgreementTerms of Service, and this Statement.

We collect non-personal information about your computer hardware and software when you use the Services. This information can include your device type, browser type, domain names, access times, operating system, IP address, internet service provider, pages visited, and referring website addresses. We may use a third party program to assist us in analyzing this data to better tailor our Services to our users.

What do we use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one or more of the following ways:

  • To improve our Services. We continually strive to improve our Service offerings based on the information and feedback we receive.
  • To personalize your experience. Your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs and to offer tailored Services.
  • To improve customer service. Information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs.
  • To inform you of other products or Services available from the Company and its affiliates.

How do we protect your information?

We engage in customary data collection, storage and processing practices and utilize certain security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information. For example, all payment information is encrypted for your protection and transmitted by our payment processing partner, Authorize.net, via Transport Layer Security (TLS) – an Internet protocol that safeguards electronic communications between two or more computers. When transmissions are sent over a TLS connection, data is encrypted and cannot be modified in transit by other parties on the Internet.

However, since the internet is not a 100% secure environment, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to the Company. We cannot guarantee the protection of information against interception, misappropriation, misuse, copy, disclosure, destruction, or alteration or that your information may be not be disclosed or accessed by accidental circumstances or by the unauthorized acts of others or by breach of any of our physical, technical or managerial safeguards. As a result, all personal information you disclose to us is at your own risk.

Do we use cookies or other technologies?

Our website uses first-party and third-party cookies. However, personally identifiable information is not collected through the use of cookies.  A “cookie” is a small text file placed on your hard drive by our web page server. Though cookies can be used for a variety of purposes, we use cookies to provide tailored Services, monitor and improve upon user experiences, and determine whether a visitor is unique or whether the visitor has viewed our website before.  You can manage cookies by using features and functions available on most Internet browsers. For example, most browsers will allow you to choose what cookies can be placed on your computer and to delete or disable cookies. Please note that disabling cookies may prevent you from using specific features on our sites and other websites, such as ordering products or services and maintaining an online account.

We may work with third-party marketing partners, such as Google Analytics, who use technologies such as “pixel tags” or “web beacons” on our or their own behalf. Such technologies typically take the form of small images embedded in emails or websites and are used to determine whether an email was opened or what part of a website a visitor has viewed. These technologies do not contain any personal information and are merely used to gather information to analyze traffic to websites for the sake of improving a user’s experience therewith or to enhance marketing efforts.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential in accordance with the terms of this Statement. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, legal regulatory bodies or authorities, to enforce our User AgreementTerms of Service, or this Statement, or to protect and defend our or others’ rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information (such as generic aggregated information) may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses. We may use third party service providers to help us operate our business and the Services or administer activities on our behalf, including but not limited to sending out notices or promotional materials. We may share your information with these third parties for those limited purposes.

Third party links and content

Users may find advertising or other content on our Services that link to the sites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties, and vice-versa. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our Services. In addition, these sites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These sites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our Services, is subject to that website’s own terms and policies and the Company is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites.

California Online Privacy Protection Act compliance

Because we value your privacy, we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.  As part of the California Online Privacy Protection Act, users of our Services may make any changes to their information at any time by logging into their account, if any, and editing the user Profile page or by contacting us at info@royaltraveler.com. If you are a California resident, you are permitted to request information regarding the disclosure of your personal information by the Company to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please send an email to info@royaltraveler.com. California residents using our Services are entitled to know that they may file grievances and complaints with the California Department of Consumer Affairs, 400 R Street, Suite 1080, Sacramento, CA 95814, by phone at 916-445-1254 or 800-952-5210, or by email to dca@dca.ca.gov.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act compliance

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act).  We do not knowingly request or solicit any personally identifiable information from anyone under 13 years of age without prior verifiable parental consent. Our website, products and Services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.  In the event that we receive actual knowledge that we have collected such information without the requisite and verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information from our database as quickly as is reasonably practicable.

You can otherwise always contact us at info@royaltraveler.com with requests to update or delete personally identifiable information you have previously provided to us. However, you should be aware that it may not be technologically possible to remove every record we have of the information you have provided us. For example, we may back-up our systems to protect information from inadvertent loss, which may cause your information to exist in a non-erasable form that may be difficult or impossible for us to locate. Nevertheless, upon receiving your request, we will endeavor to delete all such information that is stored in the databases we actively use for business activities, as well as other readily searchable media.

The Company may occasionally update this Statement at any time. We will post any changes on this page and update the Statement modification date below. The Company encourages you to periodically review this Statement to be informed of how the Company is protecting your information. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this Statement periodically and become aware of modifications.
